What is the Vimshottari dasha?
Vimshottari is a 120-year system of planetary periods. The mahadasha of the lord of the Moon's nakshatra at birth starts first, followed by Ketu, Venus, Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury in a fixed order. Each mahadasha has nine antardashas, one for each planet.
What each planet brings during its period depends on the whole kundli, so read the dasha together with the chart.
